Pastor Dale is the third-born son of the late Jesse Lee and Ina Charvis of Henderson, Texas. After graduating from high school, he relocated to Houston, Texas. Shortly thereafter, he united with the Mount Corinth Baptist Church, where Dr. A. Louis Patterson, Jr. is the late pastor. Under Pastor Patterson’s ministry, Pastor Dale received his calling to preach the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was also under Pastor Patterson that Pastor Dale was licensed and ordained. In 2001, he was called to pastor the transitional Inwood Baptist Church, which was renamed The Church of the Harvest and continued to meet in the Northwest Houston Crowne Plaza Hotel. In 2006, Willow Park Baptist Church issued Pastor Dale a call to the pastorate at this current location. Willow Park Baptist Church and The Church of the Harvest united as one church under the present name, The Church at Willow Park.

Pastor Dale graduated from North Harris Community College, now called Lone Star College System, Houston Bible Institute, and the College of Biblical Studies. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Theology degree from South Bay University Christian College of San Bernardino, California in 2013. Pastor Dale has been married to his wife, Gwendolyn, since 1979. They are the parents of three adult children: James, Tream, and Quint, and the grandparents of Cameron, Jr. Pastor Dale is also the father of three adult sons: Dale, Sean, and Defreim, and the grandfather of Christopher, Kennedy, and Jason.
